Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept insurance?

    • Yes! I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas and Ambetter. Also, if you receive any Out of Network (OON) benefits from your insurance coverage I can offer a receipt with appropriate details for you to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier if applicable.

  • What are your rates?

    • My rates is $210 per session depending. The intake (first) session, is $250 which typically is longer and we will discuss your history, background, and goals for therapy.

  • What payment do you accept?

    • I accept cash, check, and credit cards. I can also run FSA and HSA cards.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    • Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the appointment. Appointments that are missed or cancelled less than 24 hours will be charged a fee of $100. Appointments can be cancelled via telephone or through the client portal.

  • What can I expect in the first therapy session?

    • The intake appointment typically lasts 60-75 minutes and is a time for us to get to know each other. I ask questions about the reason you are seeking therapy, symptoms, medical, mental health, family, and other pertinent history. This is also a time for you to ask me questions and figure out if my style is right for you. It can sometimes take a few sessions for me to offer a diagnosis and to get a feel of my therapy style.

  • What is your therapy style?

    • I use a collaborative approach with my clients. While we use diagnosis for billing and insurance, I have found that people do not fit neatly into boxes. A large part of mental health recovery is finding your own voice and learning to advocate and trust yourself again. This can look like more and/or less structure depending on your needs, preferences, and goals.

  • How often will we meet?

    • When I first start therapy with someone, I recommend meeting every week. This provides consistency and adequate time and space to process what is happening in your life. This is flexible depending on your individual needs.

  • Do you work with teens and couples?

    • I do not. I only work with individuals who are 18 and older.
